Highway 85 & 13th St. Int
DEI was awarded the Intersection Improvements at Highway 85 & 13th St. by the City of Greeley. Work on this proejct includes removal of asphalt and replacing with concrete pavement at this intersection in Greeley.
Synergy Waterline & Well
DEI was awarded the Waterline Relocation and Well Pad construction project for Synergy Resources. This project is located near AIMS Community College in Greeley.
NREL Detention Pond
DEI was awarded the Central Arroyo Detention Pond project from Growling Bear and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. The work includes construction of a detention pond including site clear & grub, excavation and grading of detention pond, construction of forebay and outlet structures, headwalls, retaining walls, installation of site utilities including 24” to 48” RCP Storm system, manholes, and waterline.
Central City 2011 Streets
DEI was awarded the Central City 2011 Streetscape project from Northstar Concrete. The work includes removal and replacement of approx. 482 l.f. of 8” & 10” sanitary sewer line and removal and replacement of 6” PVC waterline.

Duran Excavating, Inc. was started primarily because good excavation companies were in demand in 1977 and 1978. The business originally started by Gary & Larry Duran is now a family owned and managed operation. Their brother Ernest E. Duran (Ellie) joined the company in 1981. All have extensive construction backgrounds as the brothers’ father and family owned a major general contracting company in the Greeley area.

Duran Excavating, Inc. has grown steady throughout the last 27 years. The company owns the property on which it is located, at 418 North 9th Avenue. The corporate headquarters include a 2,815 square foot office facility and a large maintenance facility.
