Stapleton Filing #32
DEI was awarded the Stapleton Filing #32 - Phase 1 & 2 projects from M.A. Mortenson Construction. The work consists of installation of sanitary sewer system, manholes & inlets, waterline and storm system in the Stapleton redevelopment area in Denver.
CSU Engineering Lot #310
DEI was awarded the Engineering Lot #310 – Phase 1 project from Colorado State University. The work consists of removal of existing asphalt in bus lane and parking areas and replacing with concrete. Detailed work includes site demolition, removal and replacement of stormwater inlet, installation of approx. 2700 s.y. of concrete pavement and base course, installation of curb & gutter, and installation of approx 600 lf of irrigation main.
Ft Collins Discovery Muse
DEI was awarded the Fort Collins Discovery Museum project from Hensel Phelps Construction. The work consists of earthwork, site cut & fill and foundation excavation for the new museum building as well as installation of site utilities including storm system and sanitary sewer and waterline.
Summer Softball
The DEI softball team had a terrific season and finished the league this year as the Consulation Winner! Way to go team. See you next summer!
DPS Stapleton School
DEI was awarded the DPS School project at Stapleton from GE Johnson Construction. The work consists of earthwork, site cut & fill and foundation excavation for the new shcool building as well as installation of site utilities including storm system and sanitary sewer .

Duran Excavating, Inc. was started primarily because good excavation companies were in demand in 1977 and 1978. The business originally started by Gary & Larry Duran is now a family owned and managed operation. Their brother Ernest E. Duran (Ellie) joined the company in 1981. All have extensive construction backgrounds as the brothers’ father and family owned a major general contracting company in the Greeley area.

Duran Excavating, Inc. has grown steady throughout the last 27 years. The company owns the property on which it is located, at 418 North 9th Avenue. The corporate headquarters include a 2,815 square foot office facility and a large maintenance facility.
