Water Main Replacement Crestview

DEI was awarded the 2014 Waterline Replacement Project from Crestview Water and Sanitation District. The work included installing 800 l.f. of 16” water line & connecting to the existing water tank and installing 820 l.f. of 6” water line & completing 11 services. This work was done in two different locations. 6” water line & services were installed on an existing road that needed temporary asphalt patching, then later replaced with permanent asphalt paving. The second location was in a dirt area that started the connection in the street to an existing 16” water line leading to the connection to the water tank.

Lefthand Canyon Drive Minor Resurfacing and Repair Project

DEI was awarded the Lefthand Canyon Drive Minor resurfacing and repair project from Boulder County. The work consists of the repairs to approximately 10 miles of roadway damaged by the 2013 Floods. Prior to September 12, 2013 Lefthand Canyon Drive was a 2-lane paved roadway approximately 27’-30’ wide in the Boulder County foothills with Lefthand Creek running along one side. With the flooding numerous sections of the roadway had been washed away and temporary repairs were conducted. DEI completed additional repairs to the roadway which included 3,837 s.y. asphalt removal, import 2,707 c.y. of embankment, 516 c.y. of rockery fill, 27,343 s.y. of reconditioning, 4,532 tons of asphalt patching, installation of 1,160 l.f. of guardrail, traffic control, and erosion control.;

Stapleton Northfield Campus - Utilities

DEI was awarded the Stapleton Northfield Campus Utilities project from GE Johnson Construction Company. The work consists of installation of all site utilities which included the following: 2,086 l.f. of 8" sanitary sewer line, 10 48" dia storm sewer manholes, 2,380 l.f. of 15" to 42" RCP and 15”-24” PVC storm sewer, 4'-6' dia manholes, inlets, and rip rap, 3,000 l.f. of 6"-12" C-900 water system pipe, including fireline, domestic services, meter pit, fittings and gate valves.;

Stapleton Northfield Campus - Earthwork

DEI was awarded the Stapleton Northfield Campus earthwork project from GE Johnson Construction Company. The work consists of erosion control, import of soil, fine grading, over excavate 10’ and re-compact the lots for construction of the new gym and school building.p>

2014 Substandard Sewer Rehabilitation Project

DEI was awarded the 2014 Substandard Sewer Rehabilitation project from the City of Greeley. The work consists of Installation of 685 l.f. of 8” sanitary sewer in 3 different locations with 7 new manholes along with 13 4” service connections, 2” asphalt milling & asphalt overlay and stripping.

Espanola Subdivision Improvements

DEI was awarded the Espanola Subdivision Improvements project from the Weld County Public Works. The project consists of removal of existing asphalt in Espanola subdivision and replacement of 6” of road base and 4,337 s.y of 6” Concrete roadway. The project also included sanitary sewer improvements for the future connection of existing homes currently on septic systems. Work also included fencing, landscaping maintenance, erosion control, traffic control.

Robinson Gulch Sewer Repair

DEI was awarded the Robinson Gulch Sewer repair project from the City of Aurora. The project consists of installation of 773 l.f. of 12” sewer line with 4 manholes, 2 cast-in-place manhole bases and 2 pre-cast bases, abandon 700 lf of existing 12” sewer line and installation of flash fill, removal of 30’ of existing sewer pipe that was exposed in Robison Gulch Creek and 4 acres of surface restoration & seeding.

State Highway 287 Underpass/Big Thompson River Path Repair

DEI was awarded the State Highway 287 Underpass / Big Thompson River Path repairs project from the City of Loveland. The primary work consists of dewatering the construction site behind a coffer dam built by others, removal of the existing concrete flood wall and concrete path, soil excavation, placement of borrow soil, construction of a new flood wall, and installation of new underdrain pipe, sump pump, 30” storm water pipe, manhole, concrete path, filter material, and riprap. The secondary work consists of rebuilding a CMU wall, wood rail fence, and slope grading.

James Canyon Drive/CR 87 Winter Roads Flood Repair

DEI was awarded the James Canyon Drive/CR 87 Winter Roads Flood Repair project from Boulder County. Approximately 4.2 miles of a two lane paved road was damaged in the 2013 flood. Work included construction of a gravel roadway to safely carry traffic through the winter months. Detailed repairs included removal of pipe, remove and mill 1,790 cy of asphalt, clean culverts, import 9,500 cy of embankment support, 22,250 cy of rockery fill, structure excavation & backfill, erosion control, re-lay pipe, place 2,192 cy of recycled asphalt roadbase, rip rap, install 7’X7’ precast concrete box culvert and 18”-36” stormpipe, and traffic control.

Lefthand Canyon Drive Winter Roads Flood Repair

DEI was awarded the Lefthand Canyon Drive Winter Roads Flood Repair project from Boulder County. Approximately 10 miles of a two lane paved road was damaged in the 2013 flood, keeping residents from travel to and from their homes. Work included construction of a gravel roadway to safely carry traffic through the winter months. Detailed repairs included removal of pipe, remove and mill 1,790 cy of asphalt, clean culverts, import 9,500 cy of embankment support, 22,250 cy of rockery fill, structure excavation & backfill, erosion control, re-lay pipe, place 2,192 cy of recycled asphalt roadbase, rip rap, install 7’X7’ precast concrete box culvert and 18”-36” stormpipe, and traffic control.
